A monumental new study released by Swedish scientists this week shows that biology plays a pivotal role in determining a person's sexual orientation. With this new research, can the brainwashed finally abandon their bigotry and admit that the brain, not the Bible, decides sexual attraction?
It must be difficult for the right wing to accept that God did create Adam and Steve, after all. Instead of anti-gay political campaigns, the extremists should call it a day, visit the mall and buy this oft-maligned gay couple nice wedding gifts. No matter how they spin it, a growing body of scientific evidence points to the obvious: Homosexuality is not a choice.

The fundamentalists are so darn stupid when it comes to this stuff. Is it not obvious that homosexuality is not a choice? How thick headed are they? It is amazing how religion makes some people brain dead. Good article!

Fundamentalists aren't studpid, merely conditioned. Reading the study as reported in The NYT, the probable fundy response will be that "this is the result of their sinful choices, not the cause." The choice argument is prima facie ludicrous when turned on them: "Mr. Hetero FundyWingnut, when it was YOUR turn to make YOUR choice about having sex with men or women, what factors did you consider?" Obviously they have no valid answer, although most would never admit it.

Fundamentalists fail to recognize the advancement of the world since their precious bible was written. Many areas, including slavery and the rights of women as human beings and not property are two obvious examples. Now, hearing them talk, the bible only applies to gays when they talk morals or family values. One very obvious question that they have not addressed is the fact that gays come from and are part of families. The fundamentalist ideal of family is man in suit, woman in pastel pant suit and children by their side seen and not heard. All gays know that their sexuality is not a choice it is as inate as eye colour or handedness. I'm excited about this research although it tells me what I already knew, but it gives credence to the notion that "we are who we are" and no amount of denial or "prayer" will change that, nor should it.
