(Mel Is One Sick Dude, but he does have nice abs)

Mel "S&M Christ" Gibson is now ranked, according to Forbes, as the number 3 celebrity in the world. Personally, I boycott Mel Gibson movies. After witnessing his brutal, twisted beating of Jesus for two solid hours, I've had enough of Gibson's passion for pain and pandering to the right wing fringe.

Not to go off on a tangent, but that attitude bugs me (no offense to you, Max, I'm sure you were just joking).

Why is it that when guys are hot, it doesn't matter what their morals or views are? It's like if our dicks are involved, our brains don't matter?

Mel Gibson is an arch homophobe and a bigot. I don't even concede his good looks, I wouldn't go with him if he were the last guy on earth. I don't pay money to watch his movies to make him wealthy nor anyone else for that matter. Its about time we started hitting homophobes, vendors who are against us right where it hurts them, in their wallet. Gibson is a moron and a very dangerous one at that, a product of ultra-catholic conservatism.

Sorry, but I don't buy the "if straight guys do it why can't we?" rationale. I hold the same regard for straight men that I do gay men.

I'm not a prude, but I just don't think it's necessary to fuck every whacko immoral creep just because he's hot.

I get your point. Some straight guys are pigs like some gay guys are.
Everyone is different.

I am more like you in terms of my attitude about this however, over time I have also come to realize that there can be an element of internalized homophibia in such an attitude and/or a different standard applied to gay men because we are not accepted by society. If that is not the case -and you are just voicing an opinion regardless of whether the guy is straight or gay - than I am with you on that.

Frankly, I never thought he was that cute to begin with, so Max can have him. In fact, NEXT time he gets drunk (and that's a pretty good bet) let's have him come to out of his blackout in a sling at the Slammer, all greased up. He can afford to slink off to his private island in Fiji and cry over his problems with a stiff drink for the next hundred lifetimes with his LToC profits for all I care.
