Rev. Pat Robertson called on Monday for the assassination of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, calling him a "terrific danger" to the United States.
"You know, I don't know about this doctrine of assassination, but if he thinks we're trying to assassinate him, I think that we really ought to go ahead and do it," Robertson said. "It's a whole lot cheaper than starting a war ... and I don't think any oil shipments will stop."
Here is what I don't understand. Robertson was in bed with Liberia's brutal dictator Charles Taylor and even owned a gold mine in that country. So, the televangelist loves bloody dictators - as long as they are putting money in his greedy pocket. Perhaps Robertson is angry because Chavez won't give him a cut of the oil revenue.

Ladies and Gentlemen! Now Mr. Pat Roberson and the "Christian" coalition showing their true colors!!! I love it! I wish ALL these hypocrites would tell what they really think, so people wouldn't follow them anymore!

Is there not language in Bush's little patriot act that deals with treasonous behaviour? If it applies to a peace group in California, why not this raving idiot as well? The FBI needs to start asking itself some serious questions about these bastards who wrap their mean-sprited evil ways in the thin cloak of religion. unfortunatelly, under the current circumstances, treason is understood by the current goverment as the act to think, or to denounce what is incorrect. It always happens like that in the history of facism. Garcia Lorca was a real patriot, a man who loved Spain with all his heart, and see, he was killed by Franco.

Its official, we have our own home-grown Taliban in the form of Pat Robertson and his ilk, aided and abetted by the White House. The silence emanating from that house is quite deafening! Notice how the major religions remain silent too! Quite revealing!
This is the same man who blamed us for 9/11 and a host of other ills that have befallen our society such as the breakdown of marriage, divorce, abortion, society's ills in general. Fascism is alive and well in the USA!
Its high time the democratic party and the gay and lesbian community demanded an audit of these right wing religious fundamentalists' books to find out exactly where their funds are going. If they're funding republican campaigns, then its time their tax-exempt status should be rescinded. After all, they make huge profits and if one penny of those profits goes towards political campaigns, then they should be taxed as such like the rest of us. Any religious organization influencing political legislation should be taxed likewise. The fact that we're supposed to have separation of church and state by definition should NOT exempt anyone from paying taxes.
