According to the site Ex-Gay Watch, on a September 27, Focus On The Family radio broadcast, James Dobson slipped up and told the truth about so-called intelligent Design.
"And creation versus evolution or intelligent design versus evolution, it's been nuanced, it's changed a little bit, but it's the same basic issue."
Thanks James, for finally telling us that Intelligent Design is a sleazy, underhanded way for fundamentalists to slip their unconstitutional agenda into public schools.

The Religious Right are such scum. Do they ever tell the truth? I'm a former fundamentalist Christian. Which is to say that I am also a former liar. The two go hand in hand.
Just curious Bill, when you were a fundo, did you REALLY believe all that bullshit, or did you know it was bogus and just went along with the program you were 'supposed to'.

Homosexuality isn't just universal in the human population, the animal kingdom in general has quite a bit of it. We have an entire book on the subject in the library where I work. It obviously has it's place in the infinately diverse nature of evolution. By the way, I was just reading that the new 'hot' movie for bible beaters is March of the Penguins (go figure--they go from the gore and violence of Passion of the Christ to cute little wadlers) Apparently they admire their family values and how they all help each other and are monogomous. They set them up as an example of how good christian families should be. Whole church groups are now booking theaters to see it, just like they did with the Mel Gibson flick. What these fatuous fundos dont know is that penguins are only monogomous for 1 mating season, after that it's all one big wife/husband swap. Plus there are also homo penguins in zoos in New York City and Germany as well as in the wild. So i guess these gay penguins need some reparative therapy for willfully choosing to be homos. As for the rest of them who are swingers, they just havent found Jesus yet.
ps..I heard Burgess Meredith was gay too! Gary (NJ)

Regan, I have so wanted to talk to someone from FOTF to confront their lies and rhetoric about gay people. Good for you to do it, but I would rather do it in person. The way Dobson portrays us, it really is quite obvious he knows none of us other than at arm's length, unless of course you count his ex-gays that his organization has totally brainwashed and destroyed (Fryear, Haley et al). I picture those two poster children as being duped by Dobson at very low and vulnerable points in their lives, hopefully, someday they will recognize how ridiculous FOTF really is. It comes as no surprise by the way the Dobson let the proverbial ID cat out of the bag, of course it is fundamentalist christianity under a catch phrase. Fundamentalists have mastered the psychology of catch phrases: "moral values", pro-family, "gay agenda", all terms referring to gays as their supposed enemy. ID is just another catch phrase and it is absolutely brilliant in a diabolical sort of way, it will change the education system, because that really is the ultimate goal of the fundamentalist movement. The more they distract through gay bashing, the further ahead the "family values" agenda moves. Those who are not gay, have a false sense of security that this re-contructionalist movement will not affect them. Watch out women who have abortions and couples who divorce, you are next to be demonized. The white hetersexual born again christian is the only citizen that has a life that matters, according to the ID theory. Tim W.
