The California Legislature made history Tuesday as the Assembly passed a bill to legalize same-sex marriage. With no votes to spare, California's lawmakers became the first in the United States to act without a court order to sanction gay marriages. The measure was approved after three Democratic lawmakers who abstained on a similar proposal that failed in June changed their minds under intense lobbying by bill author Assemblyman Mark Leno (D-San Francisco) and gay and civil rights activists.
The million dollar question is now: Will Arnold terminate these rights with his veto pen?

I'm an actor in LA. I know Arnold attends fancy "straight" parties that also have lots of queers in attendence. If he vetos this, he should never show his face around these parties again. We will rage against him. Behind his back, of course, as he can beat us up.
OF COURSE Gov. Arnold will veto the bill! Only on the rarest of occassions do republicans do ANYTHING for the civil rights of any minority group.

I will not be surprised if he vetoes the bill, it would be damaging to his political career if he didn't. Few politicans do the right thing by any of us, lets face it, they'd rather sacrifice us again than lose political standing and opt for political expediency instead. None of them have any guts or are worthy of our votes.
He will probably veto it. It's too bad they don't have a veto-proof majority. BUT, what a huge step! Maybe there is hope.

There you have it! Now we know where we really stand! Don't think for a minute that the democrats would do otherwise. They all cave-in when its their career on the line. Its about power, power over us. We need to send a clear message that in the next general election,no democratic elected official should take our vote for granted any more. Log Cabin crew should do likewise. If we all did that, we'd be in far better shape. Neither party really gives a damn about us. We need to get back to in-your face politics, please or offend, its the only language they understand.
