Keith Boykin, president of the gay National Black Justice Coalition, was scheduled to be a speaker this past weekend at the Millions More Movement march, a national rally for African Americans in Washington. According to The Washington Post, Boykin said he was turned away from the podium after he was double-crossed by the Rev. Willie F. Wilson, the Washington minister who is the march's national executive director.
In negotiations leading up to the event, Wilson reportedly went on a bizarre homophobic tirade. Boykin said Wilson said he was upset about hate mail and bitter calls he had received since he was criticized for delivering a hateful sermon at his Southeast Washington church that described gay sex in graphic and mean-spirited terms. He has since written about an "epidemic" of lesbianism among young black girls. During one meeting, Wilson lost control and went positively bonkers:
Donna Payne, an organizer with the Human Rights Campaign who also attended the meeting, said Wilson... pulled out a book, "The New Joy of Gay Sex," and accused gay leaders of sending it to him. Boykin and Payne said Wilson then grabbed a white plastic bag and pulled out a bottle of sleeping pills and a G-string made from Pez candies strung together. He said black girls use the items to try to turn other girls into lesbians.
Folks, this is abnormal behavior. I have only seen one case like this before. There is a man in a southern state whose high school girlfriend turned out to be a lesbian. After she came out, he stalked her and behaved in much the same manner.
Who knows if this also happened to Wilson. But we do know his reaction and obsession with women turning into lesbians is sick. He is clearly working private issues out on the public stage. This man is a weirdo and a freak and maybe even needs to be committed. Normal straight men simply don't act this way.
Finally, Boykin and HRC's Payne should be applauded for working hard to educate buffoons like Wilson. Thanks for your effort and dedication!

"Normal" straight men start dripping at the thought of lesbian sex. This guy obviously has some big issues. Besides, if what he says were true, I'm sure black chicks could find something better to use than PEZ!!! yuk Gary (NJ)

I just don't get what it is about lesbian sex that turn straight men on, yet two males going at it is repugnant to them. Seems like a double standard in hypocrisy. Anyone have an answer?
It is because women are the object of straight men's desires. But IT IS TOTALLY hypocritical - which is why I tell straight guys -that I don't ever want to hear anything homophobic coming out of their mouths because the truth is they love homosexuality. It is one of their most treasued fanatasies.
