On Wednesday Dr. Phil will air a show titled, "I'm Gay, OK?'
According to the show's promotion: Sexual orientation used to be something kept hidden from family and co-workers, but now more and more people are coming out and finding acceptance. Anjela says her mother and sister don't support her sexual orientation, and feel she can't be Christian and gay at the same time. Can they ever reconcile this touchy issue? Then, two men debate whether a person can go from gay to straight, and parents of a 4-year-old boy fear their son's desire to play with dolls and wear heels means he'll grow up to be gay. Are they overreacting to his wishes to be a princess instead of a prince?
Let's hope Dr. Phil does a responsible and respectable job and doesn't turn it into an embarrassing daytime freak show. The last thing anyone needs is for gay youth to be exploited for ratings.

To judge by the way he (Dr. Phil) and his mentor Ophra have demonized "men who have sex with men" this sound to me like another sensasionalistic episode to gain ratings... nothing more. I have been very angry for years now at Ophra's take on "The Down Low" that was just another pretext for men hating feminist to deminish male, as an inferior class.
I know that she is not all to blame, there was also that guy that wrote the book about the experience of SOME MEN that have been used to label the rest of us as irresponsable, putting particularly men of color in a horrible situation, like if we are the only ones that "Have sex with other men"

I find Dr. Phil arrogant and very judgemental. Old Phil is a long associate of the christian right, (Amway founders to be exact) so there will be an underlying fundie tone to this show no doubt. He is an attention grabbing sensationalist and I can't stand him. I could be wrong, but don't expect much in the way of education to come out of this piece of drivel.

I watched Dr. Phil's show today and thought it was pretty weak and badly handled. The audience seemed to be pro ex-gay and I had the feeling that they believed one's orientation could be changed, but then, that's Dr. Phil, a right winger to boot.
I used to like Dr Phil, but in the last year he has finally shown his true feathers. He is arrogant, judgemental and he is a narcisist.I can not stand him or his fake family. Robin should be a poster woman for plastic surgery(her lips are getting scary). His son Jay married a woman that was used up by Hugh Hefner, bet old Phil likes her more than robin does, and the younger kid acts like he can't stand his mother and father.

I think dr.phil is awesome. He just has good morals and causes you to look in the mirror and you dont like what you see.Thats why majority cant stand christianity because majority likes how they are living and dont want to allow God to change them but the conviction kills them. Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven and if you dont want to repent and confess we have all sinned and except Jesus then you will not have eternal life.
