On National Coming Out Day, Tuesday, Oct. 11, I am speaking at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. The event, sponsored by UNCW PRIDE and the Out Wilmington Community Center, will take place on campus at Cameron Hall Auditorium (8pm). The event is free and open to the public. For more information e-mail pride@uncw.edu.

This promises to be a first-rate event and I am very excited about it. If you are in the area, don't miss this chance to hear me dismantle the "ex-gay" myth. If you are an "ex-gay", I also urge you to come, so you can escape the closet and live life as a proud openly gay American.

It is so sad to what extent some Gays will go to, to be accepted!
When all they have to do is Accept themselves first! God Loves us just as we are and HE accepts us!

Wayne, you were spectacular at this event, and while the crowd was not as large as we had hoped, your impact was enormous! thank you for all you do, thank you for being so amazingly genuine and warm, and for doing the work that is so badly needed! You are a great leader and I will be the first to by your novel and Promote the hell out of it!

To the poster who thought of us as wingnuts..we are one of the last southern states who's legislature is still held by democratic control, we have held of a constitutional amendment regarding marriage and our county, New Hanvoer County, hosts one of the few openly gay elected State Senators in the Country, our dear Senator Julia Boseman. The South is a place where progress is something that is not only made, but is part of the culutre! We certainly have our problems, but with GW in control of our country, don't we all! :)

With GW and his posse in control, not judgin each other erroneously, but concentrating on what we can do to overcome collectively is paramount. Wayne is indicative of that type of person and leader!
