To all who visit this website, I highly recommend Wayne's book, its mindblowing and educational. I would love to see this made into a documentary, perfect for PBS. Every congressional member should read it!
You should definitely purchase Wayne's book. It exposes the obvious lies of the ex-gay fraud in a masterful way. It will also embolden and empower you. You will come away from it with greater self-respect. I'd say that's something worth getting in on. Order now.

"Anything But Straight" is an important book.
It is important because it adds very materially to the available store of evidence upon which to draw in discussing the "therapy for change" topic.
It is important that "Reparative Therapy" DOES get discussed, not least because those who purchase such 'therapy' are liable to spend a great deal of money to buy it.
If there are a great many people out there who have successfully made "the change" through buying Reparative Therapy, they are EXTREMELY difficult to find, and must be the most shy and retiring of souls. Perhaps the agenda and tone of "Anything But Straight" will help to flush them out, and we can hear their stories, and be convinced!
For some time before buying "Anything But Straight", I had made efforts to read up on the whole subject, from online and other sources. When I read "Anything But Straight", I found myself continually recognising aspects I'd already worked out from other reading.
"Anything But Straight" is very well annotated with references, and represents a most serious and timely challenge to those selling therapy to change sexual desire.
I doubt that any of those persons will rise to this challenge with a tome of anything like equal gravity and effectiveness.

I omitted to say previously that "Anything But Straight" is very well written.
The style is very accessible and the book well leavened with humour. Mr. Besen is very careful and judicious in his selection of targets.
The book is a good read as well as a valuable addition to the literature on the "RT" topic.
