Jeff - you said you're freaked out. Don't be: the farther these crazies reach with their tactics, the more they reveal themselves for the nutjobs they truly are. Then everyone sees how crazy they are, distances themselves, and the wackos lose. It's already begun, if you look around at everything that's happening politically these days. And more and more people are standing up for us, both within the LGBT community and the "mainstream" It's going to be ugly for a while, but VERY unlikely to get much worse than this.
