Karl Rove unveiled his despicable demagogic agenda which included a heavy dose of bashing Democrats on national security.
"At the core, we are dealing with two parties that have fundamentally different views on national security," Rove said. "Republicans have a post-9/11 worldview and many Democrats have a pre-9/11 worldview. That doesn't make them unpatriotic -- not at all. But it does make them wrong -- deeply and profoundly and consistently wrong."
Maybe I'm missing something, but the Republicans are in charge and the Homeland Security report card was filled with Ds and Fs. Five years after 9-11 and Osama has more recordings than Madonna in the same time period. Am I wrong, or do we still have to worry about vulnerable chemical plants, nuclear facilities and bombs being placed in commercial airline cargo?
What is Rove smoking? Republicans have been in charge and have done zilch for national security. If anything, the Republicans have put America at increased risk. What is galling, is that these words came from a man who may have outed undercover operative Valerie Plame. There is a word for people who do these sorts of sleazy things: Traitor.
5 Comments:
If the people of this great nation once again fall for the Rove strategy, we'll deserve whatever we get. It reminds me of the old saying, "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me". How many times must one be fooled before one becomes a fool?

Yup! The Katrina fiasco was proof positive of how inept they are. If Al Qaida strikes again before bush is out of office as Osama just promised, they will undoubtedly blame the democrats who have virtually no power at all right now. This MUST change in the 06 elections!! Gary (NJ) ps..if bush is the anti-christ as suggested in a previous column here, Rove is definately Mephistopheles.

-- They are Traitor(s) indeed Wayne!
But they will continue to pull out their two winning favorites ... Bash the Queers and The boogey man is gonna get ya if the Democrats are in charge.
BTW, Seniors who haven't been convinced not to vote GOP after the Medicare/Medicaid fisasco ... deserve what they get - IMHO. I'm sick of people voting against their own best interest and then whining about their plight -- the same goes for the whimpy Log Cabin Repubs -- who refuse to come out against Alito.
Of course the problem is ... we all suffer right along side them.
So all a person has to do is think lida of ways in which activity can be extended.
Spend an extra ten minutes taking the dog for a walk; park the car as far away from work as possible; use the stairs instead of the elevator; get off the bus a stop earlier and walk the rest of the way; walk to work; take a stroll at lunch time; there's a million ways of extending a period of activity, without devoting a length of paiyouji time specifically to exercises.
For people who are not 'time-poor' such as seniors or people who work from home, then lack of time may not be a limitation on their exercise activities. These people are able to enjoy the time they can devote to exercise as well as the additional benefits, other than weight loss, that this brings. leisure slimming coffee Being physically fit goes a long way towards giving an older person a much more vigorous and rewarding life style.
