It wasn't a Howard Dean "Scream" moment, but President George W. Bush was combative, testy and somewhat unhinged during his press conference this afternoon. He bullied the media, continued living in fantasy land, demagogued national security and had anger management issues.
It is clear that this delusional President is on edge and quickly "losing it." I think he would be happier back at the Crawford ranch sweeping tumble weed.
Anyone else see the press conference? Thoughts?

I think he is back snorting cocaine. A an addictions counselor, it seems to me that he is back with the habit. Just look at his body language and hyperactive gestures.

I am catching the transcript as it's updating.
Helen Thomas really hit him hard, so it seems. "I didn't really regret it. I kind of semi-regretted it."
He's getting high compliments for his speech elsewhere.

Bob Schieffer of CBS, speaking of today's press conference, called GWB "George Bush the passionate" (like "Richard the lion-hearted"). Schieffer intimated that he knows Bush "off-camera", and that the man he saw in the press conference today is the same man he is in private.

Bush, when asked about the censure motion by Sen. Feingold (discussed on this blog), said that he noticed no democrat has yet stood up against the terrorist surveillance program.
He said that if democrats are against it, they need to stand up and say "We don't think we need to be worrying about what the terrorists are doing."

Anyone who still stands by this incompetant nutcase is the same type of person who would have taken cyanide capsules in the hitler-bunker. Bush is a substance abuser who never received any type of therapy and whether or not he's 'using' again; he is still a deeply disturbed man who is in way over his head. Yesterday he said to "look beyond the bloodshed in Iraq"; only someone out of touch with reality would have said something so utterly insane! Gary (NJ)

Bush isnt manly, he's an insecure bully who cant stand any criticism or opposition. Every school yard has them; many end up in jail, this one landed in the oval office!

I blogged about it today.
Bush is a pathological liar. Claiming in Cleveland he didn't want war, and so forth.
But, here's what he said in 2002:
Time magazine reported that in March 2002 – a full year before the invasion – Bush outlined his real thinking to three U.S. senators, "Fuck Saddam," Bush said. "We’re taking him out."
The American people are, I believe, finished with Bush. He's weaker than a lame duck now.
If he had any sense, he'd just tender his resignation and return to the Crawford, TX pig farm.
