On the The Edge Show with radio star Chad Larson, hillbilly truckdriver Merrill Keiser Jr., who is running for U.S. Senate as a Democrat in Ohio, said Elton John was "worthy of death." When pressed if he would have Mary Cheney killed, he said, "how else would you do it" if you wanted to follow a law that he would consider proposing if elected to the U.S. Senate.
He also said, "you can't be a good person if you are a homosexual." We also learned that the Bible-thumper did not go to church. I enjoyed the very revealing interview and a glimpse into the mind of a very screwy and hateful person. Sadly, his point of view is shared by too many Americans who hide their murderous longings under the guise of religion.

Good for Chad!
BTW, I tuned in and listened to The Edge after Wayne posted a blurb about his show a few weeks back. I even called in to say hello to the Chad and his gang!
This young man's show is fun and I commend him on the work his doing! ... and Yay! Wayne for supporting them.
Good Going Chad on getting this interview! I'll tune in on the web to catch it. Make headlines Chad!
It shows that homophobia is still alive and well in this country. I think it's an interview we all should support

Chad's the man. Let's show "Merrill Ahmadinejad" that gays should not be executed. We should deport his kluckster ass to Iran.
I caught the interview, not expecting much. But the show was surprisingly good. Much better than the crap they serve up on Sirius OutQ. I'll tune in again. And the right winger was crazy!!
If this scumbag lived in Canada, he'd be up on charges under our HATE CRIMES LAW (when ya gonna git one, AMURRICA?), which strictly prohibits the dissemination of hatred advocating genocide. This guy needs to be medicated. But don't be too surprised. Paul Cameron (the freak whose "research" groups like the AFA rely on)has been up to this crap for years and no one seems to care.
You guys in Canada can do things the way you want up there, but down here we don't believe in criminalizing speech. Passing the kind of hate speech law that Canada has would require us to overturn our First Amendment. The crazy candidate was simply giving his wacko viewpoint. It's better that everyone be allowed to say what they want (outside of direct incitement). At least then you know where people stand.

-- Canadian Poster: The principle of *Free Speech* must be upheld even when the speech is the most vile, hatefilled rhetoric known to man.
Yes, even this misguided soul from Ohio has the right *in America* to espouse his beliefs. Censorship and criminalization of speech is the epitome of that slippery slope we hear so much about.
