Redneck truck driver Merrill Keiser Jr. is running for the U.S. Senate as a Democrat in Ohio. His platform is quite interesting and includes the belief that gays should get the death penalty. In an interview with the Sandusky Register, Keiser said he wouldn't be against making homosexuality a felony punishable by the death penalty. The unanswered looming question is whether he prefers lethal injection, the electric chair or a good old fashioned stoning.
Apparently, this guy is so dumb, he doesn't even know he's supposed to be a Republican.

You know, Wayne. It isn't that the Republicans hate gays. It is that gays hate the Republicans. If you people didn't hate the party so much, they would support homosexual rights.
You must be living in a dream world if you think Republicans would support gay rights if gays didn't hate the party so much. I guess you've never heard of the Log Cabin Republicans, gay Republicans who still somehow believe that the Republican party actually wants their support.

Sandy honey, at the risk of sounding like a kid in a school yard---THEY STARTED IT! The repubes attacked the gay rights movement from Stonewall onwards. But you're right, they dont hate us, they're *afraid* of us. All discrimination is based on fear. Inertia Kitt

Sandra is living in a strange world where up is down and black is white. Has she not noticed that Republican politicians from the President on down have actively demonized gays? Did she not notice all those so-called marriage protection amendments on the ballots in 2004 that were designed to get the homo bigots to the polls because they all vote Republican? I could speak volumes on the gay bashing that has gone on during the Bush years, but this isn't my blog. I suppose living in a fantasy world is the only way people can stay Republican after all that's happened in the Bush era.

Well, in the article we read here a couple of days ago a democrat governor said his party has no message at this point in time.
Guess he just decided to make one up, however stupid.

Sandra, you have got to be kidding, sweetheart. The Republican Party supports a constitutional amendment... OH, why am I wasting my time?

When Fred Phelps used to run for public office, he used to run as a Democrat, too! I think that maybe these southerners do this because they feel an affinity for the old democratic party, i.e., the George Wallace wing of the party.

Sandra,
The Gay GOP group - Log Cabin Republicans - are very conservative and have been trying to get GOP leaders to meet with them ever since Bush won in 2000.
The GOP leaders will NOT even meet with this group because they are gay. They will not give them 2 moinuites of there time. Nothiong.
The sate of Texas GOP party banned them from their state convention because they are gay.
Get real Sandra or at least do some research.

Merrill Keiser is an equivalent of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. He wants to start a gay pogrom and to make America into a theocracy. Like Pat Robertson and Alan Keyes, Keiser will never make it in politics.
