A new and exciting Pew Research Center Social Trends study reveals that the uneducated are more likely to be judgemental, bigoted and moralistic. Well, I hate to say I told you so....but, "I TOLD YOU SO."
Look, if you think that homosexuality is a moral issue, you need to read. Smart people know better.
If you are against stem cell research, you may be an ignoramous.
If you think beer should be banned and Vegas should be closed - get an education, not to metnion a life.
This poll reveals why social conservatives are always attacking the public schools. If everyone was literate and educated, they would not have a movement.

Maybe this is why bush and the republicans keep cutting funds and student loans for higher education. Ignorant people are easier to manipulate and exploit. Gary (NJ)

Yep, GWBush hates education so much that in 2002 he had Ted Kennedy help write his "No child left behind" education bill, taking out measures conservatives wanted in.
You guys should be applauding Bush.

This study is common sense. I know several stupid people, and they are all like this. They talk about morality all the time and to such an extent that it's WEIRD. They are obsessed with it, and they are no more moral than anyone else.

The no child left behind program is a joke! There's no funding for it! All the teachers i know hate it. We'll applaud when the shrub is OUT OF OFFICE!

Chris they're obsessed with it because they know it's so lacking in their own lives; it's like any other neurotic compulsion and we're the convenient scapegoats. Gary (NJ)

Gary, true. The truly moral people that I know don't ever speak of morality. They just live their lives in a moral way, not hurting anyone. My sister lives in a religious town in Virginia. They walk around all day long talking "morality". Then after the sun sets, they call each other on the phone; the gossip is hotter than the New York Post's Page Six. And the racism; you should see the racism! But hey, on Sunday morning, all the churches are full...

Driving to Vegas is a five-hour pain in the ass. It most certainly needs to be closer. :-P

Vegas is great, and I have been four times and came out ahead three! Last time I was there, I played my usual game of blackjack. Twenty feet behind me, in the Bellagio Hotel, John McCain was throwing dice on the craps table. And now he's cozying up with social conservatives? What a bunch of baloney.

Yes, he was rolling dice at the craps table. He was betting $10 a roll, which is somewhat "conservative". :-)
