When it comes to Bush's presidency, if the duck were any more lame, it would have bird flu. According to an article in today's Washington Post:
Three years of upbeat White House assessments about Iraq that turned out to be premature, incomplete or plain wrong are complicating President Bush's efforts to restore public faith in the military operation and his presidency, according to pollsters and Republican lawmakers and strategists.
The article goes on to point out that Vice President Dick Cheney said Sunday that his 10-month-old claim that the insurgency was in its "last throes" was "basically accurate" and reflects reality.
Bush and Cheney are looking more farcical by the moment. The hard truth is, most Republicans, in their private moments, know that this Administration can't be trusted and lives in a state of altered reality.

Problem is, everyone knows that the only opposition Bush and the republicans have at this point in time, the democrats, have no plan to deal with terrorism and in fact will not campaign on withdrawing troops from Iraq because they know that they'll lose this November's elections if they do...

Anonymous, you are completely wrong. Just where do you get this misinformation? Right-wing radio, I bet. With few exceptions (i.e., John Murtha, and even he says it would take about six months), the Democrats do NOT support an immediate withdrawal from Iraq. Where is your logical sense? Bush got us into an war that never should have been started in the first place.
In a stunning display of international ignorance, our esteemed President declared "Mission Accomplished" two years ago. Shockingly, the President had no plan for a post-Saddam Iraq, despite being warned by his own Secretary of State (Powell) that he should think twice about his plans. Tens of thousands are dead, the country teeters on the brink of civil war, and the only criticism that you can throw around is toward the Democrats?!??!?

As far as Murtha's plan, even people such as Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (no favorite here, I know) and bloggers at the Daily Kos have expressed some deep reservations about Rep. Murtha's plan.

Bush may say "THTHUFFERIN THTHUCCOTASH" but he constantly makes the democrats look like poor Wile E Coyote, always getting an anvil dropped on his head just as he's falling off a 3,000 foot cliff...

You're as stupid as your president! Daffy Duck is NOT the Road Runner; you probably mix your metaphors too.
