Religious death squads are killing gays in Iraq, Doug Ireland will report in tomorrow's weekly edition of New York's Gay City News, PageOneQ has learned.
"The Badr Corps is committed to the 'sexual cleansing' of Iraq," a 33 year old gay Iraqi exile in London told Ireland. Since the SCIRI's spiritual leader, the Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani -- the highest Shia religious authority -- issued a fatwa ordering gays assassinated in "the worst, most severe way of killing," the Badr Corps in Iraq has begun to use the Internet to hunt down and kill Iraqi gays.
Is this why America has shed so much blood in Iraq? So much for liberty and freedom. Compared to the Grand Ayatollah, Saddam Hussein is looking like Harvery Milk. If this is "democratic" Iraq we can look forward to, then troops should be withdrawn immediately.

The Badr Corps has been said to be funded by Iran.
That is just a map of an America which is occupied by two different sets of religious fanatics!

True, not sure which set of fanatics is worse on the map. I might side with the Arabs, at least they have better food than the fried shit and IHOP in the Bible Belt.
And like those fat asses down south I see at Hooters and Target can defend anything....if they were so tough to begin with, why did the north kick their twangy voiced asses????

Chris, I think it was you who were the only person brave enough to try and answer the question: "What should we do about Iran?"
I think you suggested a cruise missle attack. That indeed could do some damage. However, as has been discussed here, Iran is a much bigger, more rugged nation than Iraq. And it's also been said that their nuclear program is much more spread out, and that they don't want to make the mistakes Saddam did. (Basing it in one primary location, which the Israelis were able to bomb around 1981, mercifully setting that program back.)
Kurt, it wasn't me who said that about Iran. I think it was Wayne himself, but I can't speak for him. However, I for one would be very pleased if Israel were to go ahead and do what needs to be done to Iran.

Let's be fair, this whole country has an obesity problem, not just the south. I live in the great northeast and there are plenty of "fat asses" here too. A word to the wise: corn syrup is more fattening than sugar and they put it in *everything*. Sorry; that was off topic. As for Iran, I wont pretend to have the wisdom to know how to solve that can of worms.

Regan, the problem is far deeper than "religious fundamentalism".
Last I read, Kim "Daffy Duck" Jong-il, NK's so-called leader, was very much a communist whose object of worship seems to be himself. I sure hope he has a kind spot in his heart for GLBT people.

Kurt, you should be very careful when you post about things - others out there may know more about topics than you.
Like Bush, you cannot place North Korea, Iran, and Iraq under Saddam under a blanket and call it an "axis of evil." Why? Because the term axis suggests an evil sort of alliance between the three. No such alliance has ever existed.
Iran and Iraq had a horrible relationship, as you should know. They fought an eight year, mainly religious war in the 80s. North Korea has never affiliated with the two countries itself because North Korea chooses to remain isolationist. Not to mention, North Korea is not too fond of major religions.
I hate to break this to you, but Kim Jong Il is the leader of North Korea. Not the "so-called." The last time I checked, he is sitll in charge. So unless you can name me some underground political leader in North Korea who is the real leader of the people, then shutup. There are none. Why Kurt? Because they kill them all.
As the only Stalinist syle leader left in the world, Kim builds a cult of personality around himself and cracks down on ALL groups (both real and imagined) who threaten his power. Kim's actions are taken straight from the play book written by Hitler, Stalin, and Mussolini: all who threaten power must be eliminated. And in old school communist countries, that includes gays and lesbians. You left that part out. How convenient.
But of course someone like you would want to avoid that one. You have an uncanny ability to play with the truth - only use those snippets here and there which pacify your limited agenda, don't look at the whole picture. If something goes against your point (and I am really not sure you have one beyond the one at the top of your head), then virtually ignore it. You imply that Kim likes gays. Wrong again. He hates them worst than Christians. There - the two of you have something in common.
You are probably one of these people who cannot locate North Korea on a map, name its capital, or recite its recent history, yet you will cheer with pride when George Bush decides to go after it. Ignorant, just plain ignorant.
Communist countries and dictatorships have an all-around discontent with gay people. Pick up a book on the Soviet Union for crying out loud. Until then, stop posting on things you know nothing about. For you to imply that you "hope KJI has a special place in his heart for gay people" is an insult. The man kills them and it is not a laughing matter.
But I often wonder if you would do the same if you were given power. After all, you need something to prove your heterosexuality.

Hey, Matthew...
If you want to define "leader" as someone who kills babies (and GLBT people) just because they're "different", be my guest.
Frankly, he's just another third-world thug in my book, who (quite sadly) who's all about power for himself...pretty much like you believe George W. Bush to be. And I'm waiting to see how the democrats will say they're going to deal with him.
I'm not ashamed to say that being in power doesn't make Kim Jong-il any more of a "leader" than having a fully developed penis makes one a "man".
As for Anonymous 6:55AM, why the anger? I LOVE women...they are, IMO, God's most wondrous creation. I love my wife. Being able to make love with her, to become one with her (and NOT make her my doormat, or my slave) is wondrous beyond words. But...I hope you're just as happy with your partner, friend.

BTW, Matthew, I forgot to thank you for making my point...it isn't religious fundamentalists who want to control people...it's evil, self-centered people who do so.
A religious fundamentalist, reading their Bible literally, is told to submit to those in authority unless said authorities are in direct opposition to God.

Kurt, religious fundamentalists are evil, self-centered people.
If so, how do you arrive at your conclusion above?

I love how your link goes to "persecution.com."
I love how you guys - fundamentalist Christians - often think of yourselves as being persecuted.
Give me a break.
You are the persecutor.
You are the ones who employed African slavery all in the name of religion. You are the ones who forbade women political privileges all in the name of religion. You are the ones who demonize gays and lesbians all in the name of religion.
Not only are you guys delusional about your own place in the world, you are delusional about the responsibility you have in what you have created.
You promote keeping gay and lesbian families away from the government benefits of marriage all because of religion. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
Overly religious Christians often forget about the level of hypocrisy they employ daily. Jesus loves you in one sentence, yet he will stone you in the next is pretty much your rationale. How pathetically sad and limited. You guys are as indoctrinated as those in North Korea who LOVE Kim Jong Il.
Let me tell you a little about persecution, Kirk. I run into it daily. And I run in to it from people like YOU - people who are trying to "save" my soul. That is why I conclude that you guys are evil and self-centered. You never take into account another's happiness or another's idea of self-determination. Love your neighbor only in certain cases. All God's children except for the homsexuals. What a sham.
This is the land of the free and free people have rights. We do not have to have one individual's particular worldview shoved down our throats daily.
I have read and re-read your ministry on this blog. You are so self-involved you cannot even see the light of day. Do you remember once how you said on here that you saw your father die of the same cancer Ann Richards has and how you would never wish that on anyone?
That is how we feel daily. We have witnessed the pain from your end and we would never wish it on anyone.
You saying that you follow the example of Christ is like Jeffrey Dahmer saying he follows the example of a vegetarian. Christ would never embrace your interpretation of his words. You are way out of your league when you try to put yourself in the same arena as him.
Personally, Kurt, I am pretty secure and well-maintained in my own life and I no longer feel the need to get into a pissing match online with someone like you - someone so insecure that he must justify himself by typing blog entries that simply show his own insecurities and his own weaknesses.
