Americans have a bleaker view of the country's direction than at any time in more than two decades, according to the latest New York Times/CBS News poll. Sharp disapproval of President Bush's handling of gasoline prices has combined with intensified unhappiness about Iraq to create a grim political environment for the White House and Congressional Republicans.
The percentage of respondents who said going to war in Iraq was the correct decision slipped to a new low of 39 percent, down from 47 percent in January. It is clear that the wheels have come off this lemon. Bush will go down as the worst president in the nation's history. No wonder he would rather provoke the Iranians than talk to them. It would take a major war to rescue Bush as the bottom comes out. Only the most stubborn or ignorant Americans still support the President.

"Bush will go down as the worst president in the nation's history."
Well, at least ONE of the worst. There's some pretty tough competition.

I have no idea what is the right approach on the Iran issue. But a good game plan would be to carefully listen to the ideas of the President - and then do the opposite.
Chimp will most certainly go down as the worst president in history, The damage his administration has done will be felt for decades. Only now are we begining to feel, see and hear the level of destruction. Much more is coming economically, environmentally, geo-politically and socially. This is just the beginining of a lot of pain. We are unfortunately screwed and the majority of those who voted for this idiot will feel it the most. We have a long hard struggle ahead of us, and any of you with children out there, I'd be incredibly worried about their future.

Dems better not count their chickens yet, the work hasn’t even begun yet. Rebubs have already adjusted their strategy: http://msnbc.msn.com/id/12703794/
Dems better come up with some talking points to dismiss the inevitable attack. If you think bush/cheney/rove aren’t going to fight like hell to keep control of congress you’ve got another thing coming – winning may be the only thing to keep rove out of jail. Dems need a multi point national plan that can be personalized for local elections. They need to stay on target and dismiss every attack quickly and hard hitting. Pelosi already flubbed it in terms of questions about impeaching bush. It would have been better to have said something like “ they seem very afraid of impeachment, what are they hiding?” or “We are more concerned about getting the nation back on track than worrying about this failed presidency” or “ impeach bush?! Why he’s he our best ambassador!”.
ps: If you are in PA get registered and oust santorum! If you are in Delaware or southern new jersey move across the boarder for the election!!!!
