The military's anti-gay policy has never looked more stupid and offensive than it does today. The anti-racist group Southern Poverty Law Center told the New York Times that the military was recruiting nazi skinheads to meet increasingly tough recruiting goals. Meanwhile, thousands of upstanding and morally sound gay soldiers are kicked out of the armed forces, including Arabic language interpreters.
Neo-nazi groups are urging their members to sign up for the military and to join light infantry divisions to start a race war when they return home. An article by Steven Barry in the National Alliance magazine, Resistance, outlined the strategy in vivid terms:
"Light infantry is your branch of choice because the coming race war and the ethnic cleansing to follow will be very much an infantryman's war," Barry wrote. "It will be house-to-house, neighborhood-by-neighborhood until your town or city is cleared and the alien races are driven into the countryside where they can be hunted down and 'cleansed.' As a professional soldier, my goal is to fill the ranks of the United States Army with skinheads. As street brawlers, you will be useless in the coming race war. As trained infantrymen, you will join the ranks of the Aryan warrior brotherhood."
This article makes me sick and shows that hatred for homosexuals is so strong in some quarters that Nazis are preferable. If the military can't meet its goals without recruiting scum, then it needs to reevaluate the war in Iraq and scrap the idiotic Don't Ask/Don't Tell. If you are interested fighting against this monumentally absurd policy join SLDN or a new group The Military Equality Alliance.

That is so depressing. We're not even equated with Nazis anymore, we're worse. The world just keeps getting crazier.
Many other nations accept gays in their armed forces. The US should have been the leader…

1. It's a good thing that there is a small number of neo-nazis here in America. When they attempt to fight against us back home, they will be outnumbered. Then we could drop napalm near Couer d'Alene (wherever a neo-nazi compound is located).
2. Unfornately, the light infantry division will be the new SS. I just hope Israel (and Palestine) would be prepared if the light infantrymen invade the "Holy Land".
3. Gays being denied into the armed forces is another example of the silly "macho" culture that had plagued middle America.
4. A.N.S.W.E.R. would have a field day with this.
5. Conservatives would claim this as 'bullshit' because it's from the SPLC and to the NY Times. They would never believe this, especially when the NY Times is under intense scrutiny because of its so-called "acts of treason".

The funny thing is that gays and lesbians could probably kick the shit out of anyone they chose to. It is a sad commentary on our beliefs when gays are excluded from the fighting forces.

I am not surprised. Most of what I hear from the Christianists and other religious zealots says that the skinhead nazis just need better behavior while gay people will rot in hell.

If the military is attempting to accomodate nazi skinheads, that is unacceptable. The NYT reports:
"The report quotes Scott Barfield, a Defense Department investigator, saying, "Recruiters are knowingly allowing neo-Nazis and white supremacists to join the armed forces, and commanders don't remove them from the military even after we positively identify them as extremists or gang members.""
However, it is quite a stretch to claim that the military is RECRUITING nazi skinheads.
Let's challenge this administration in every venue possible about why it would discharge a single gay person while there were still skinheads in the troops. Surely a military force that is disproportionately ethnic minority would have more challenge to unit cohesion from someone who wants to exterminate them than it would from a gay person.
But let's not claim "recruit". We don't need to. The truth is bad enough.

p.s. Any recruiter who knowingly allows a neo-nazi to join the military should be brought up on charges and imprisoned. Preferably in Gitmo with the combatants currently being held without charge.

They should bring back the draft, with no deferments for rich white kids----of course we know that would NEVER happen! They would rather have the US military turn into the Wehrmacht. B. Queer ps...i've seen news footage of these neo-nazi skinheads watching movies of hitler giving speeches and i bet most of these idiots cant even speak German--hell their English grammar probably sucks too.
