On the Ed Schultz show, Mike Rogers outed Sen. Larry Craig (R-Idaho) today as a practicing hypocrite and alleged homosexual. Rogers has once again rocked the Capital and made sure that closeted gay people do not win elections on the backs of out and proud gays. He deserves our deep gratitude for his important work.

Or blacks who take advantage of low income blacks? Or Filipino's who take advantage of Filipinos. I gues it goes to show us that just because someone belongs to our "group" does not mean they have the same goals as we do, morals, etc... as we do.

A week before the Foley news broke there was a poll released detailing which member of a minority group would be most likely to be elected by Americans as a future president.
Perhaps not unexpectedly, "a woman" was the most likely member of a minority group to be elected at this point in time. Seems like it was a 50/50 split or maybe greater in favor of the woman.
The LEAST likely to be elected president?
Any GLBT person...only 3% of Americans said they'd favor a GLBT president.
Couple that pre-Foley survey with the fact that pro-same-sex marriage amendments failed in every single state they were brought up in the 2004 elections, and I suspect that in the lifetime of any person reading this board age 20 or over we will never see an American state vote in favor of same-sex marriage.
Which is why the courts become so important...

Which states had "Pro same sex marriage" votes. I thought that all the same sex marriage amendments were so-called "protection" amendments. The problem with pro-gay ballot measures is not that Joe American is against gays. It's just that it's an issue that doesn't concern Joe American. It, therefore, wouldn't bring him out to the polls. In the meantime, the fundies are loading up the buses to vote down the people that they have been taught are low-lifes who are going to eat their children and turn all of america into raging homos.
