If failed Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld would go after the bad guys in Iraq as hard as he goes after the media, we might be doing better. Was it just me, or did he go off the deep end. It is absolutely amazing that he still has a job.
4 Comments:
Other than Bush himself, Rumsfeld is the one most responsible for the whole Iraq fiasco. Assuming there was any chance at all for success (and I think the chances were zero from the beginning), Rummy has been guilty of one ruinous blunder after another.
From not having enough troops to secure things after the Iraqi army was defeated, to approving and ordering the tortures commited at abu Ghraib and Guantanamo (Does anyone think the scum who did this were acting on their own?), Rummy has been at the center of things. For the sake of charity, I will assume he is mentally incompetent due to advancing age. He needs to be fired and packed off to a rest home. But he won't be, of course.

And speaking of "off the deep end..."
It seems that torture is a no-brainer for our distinguished Vice President Cheney. http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/10/27/cheney.torture.ap/index.html
This whole administration is a piece of work - all coo-coo bananas.
Rumsfield is a sociopath and is using our military and government for his own pleasure.

Watching Rummy and the rest of these loones implode is like watching the end of any good psycho movie--Bush will be sitting in a chair, staring into space like he did on 9/11, wrapped in a blanket and speaking in his mother's voice, Rumsfeld will be torturing and blowing up more people while he hears his mother's voice repeating "everyone will laugh at you" and rove and cheney will end up dancing in circles on the beach like Bette Davis at the end of Baby Jane.
