A new "ex-gay" is apparently on the scene and his name is Donnie Davies. He has created a new music video with an unfortunately catchy tune with the lyrics "God Hates Fags." He also has a fundamentalist website to cure gay people.

Is this man sinister or a satirist? It is hard to tell, but if I had to place a bet, I'd say this was a parody of the ex-gay myth. What do you think?

Whether this is real or a joke, why hasn't Exodus International commented on this matter? Apparently, they have time to lobby against hate crime legislation, but can't spare a word against real hate. Even if this is a hoax, it really shows the true colors of Exodus.

I say it's a joke. I watched the video thinking it would be really horrible, but I laughed all the way through.

I do hope Donnie will pull off his mask at some point, rather than just letting the hype sink into oblivion without there being a punchline to it.

I think it's a joke too. If it is, it's a pretty good one.

But that's the problem with satire, isn't it? The best satire mimics what it mocks so well that it's sometimes hard to tell the difference -- unless you're in on the joke.

Either this guy is a satiric genius, or he's a deranged dumb-@$$. The mystery deepens...

It's definitely satire, and he's VERY good at it! The "Controversy" video is the best: Andrew Sullivan "got behind him," then the long pause, and the thyroid problem "genetic." Hahahaha!

I never doubted it was satire but maybe that's because I'm an Englishman. We are the home of Borat after all (or is that Kazakhstan ?)
