The Pentagon has lost track of about 190,000 AK-47 assault rifles and pistols given to Iraqi security forces in 2004 and 2005, according to a new government report, raising fears that some of those weapons have fallen into the hands of insurgents fighting U.S. forces in Iraq.
I know I have misplaced a cellphone and lose about three umbrellas a year - so I am not one to point the finger. But, this does seem a bit irresponsible, especially because these loose weapons can kill quite a few American soldiers.

Typhoid Bush is a walking disaster, everything he and his do or get involved with is bungled and/or totally ruined! The weapons were probably stolen and sold to the terrorists! Way to go assholes!

What can you expect from an incompetent asshole in the White House? Maybe if more than 327 skilled Arabic speakers hadn't been booted out under DADT, the weapons might not have gone missing to say nothing of the unnecessary loss of life. They'd rather have incompetent, convicted felons serving instead. They reap what they sow!

Unfortunately, they are not incompetent. Give the guns to the insurgents, don't guard the weapons depots at the beginning of the war - all the same strategy. The war is going precisely as planned since before 9/11 - they think chaos will allow them to stay forever. Bases to control the middle east, petroleum agreements to steal the oil, riches for the war profiteers, bankrupt the US economy. No doubt they are pleased with the progress.
