(Don't let the Skyscrapers fool you)

Don't let the tall buildings and flashy tourist traps fool you. Dubai is still a backwards cesspool of homophobia and barbarism. Take the case of poor Alex, a 15 year old French boy who was gang raped - with one of the assailants HIV+. The government tried to cover up the crime and even threatened to convict Alex of homosexuality - as if this should be a crime.

Shame on Dubai. They need to get in the modern world or stop building high rises and start building caves. Fortunately, Alex and his family have stood up to this perversion of justice and their case is moving forward. They have even launched a website, Boycott Dubai. Stay strong Alex, what you are doing is brave and takes courage. At this page, we stand with you in your fight.

The Arab world is a cesspool of ignorance, barbarism, and putrid anti-semitism. Becoming a world class city doesn't occur because you commission people to build huge buildings (undoubtedly under the threat of immediate death). The fact that they don't understand that is just further evidence that the USA needs to stay on the offense and keep these people where we can see 'em.

Now, side note: If anyone replies to this and says "Be nice to the Arabs" and "Don't judge all Arabs", I'm going to be sick.

Barabaric is true! You're right on, Chris L. I've never seen a 'gentleman' Arab who'd open the door and let his wife or girlfriend walk in first, women are slaves and properties to them. Many actions of the Arab world MUST be considered totally unacceptable to civilized society. (If these actions were exceptions, we would recognize that, as it's easy to exploit bad behavior of any group in order to smear them, and that is not our goal.) Rather, some of these actions seem to be those of the *majority* in the Arab world.

For example, majorities believe that "Jews attacked the World Trade Center" and they still believe that "all the Jews didn't go to work that day", too! If anything illustrates how far apart our worlds are, it has to be that. And what are these incitations to murder when one confronts a political enemy? And we just can't forget their homophobia and their cultural subjugation of women.

I was talking to a Jewish friend of mine recently, and we were speaking about my desire to travel to Beruit, Lebanon. He shocked me by saying that, as a Jew, he wouldn't even be ALLOWED in Beruit. I was very surprised, but it's true! Now, imagine if America declared that no Arabs would be allowed HERE. They'd never stop going berzerk, threatening us with murder, and, of course, they would automatically see such a prohibition as "the work of the Jews". Bottom line, we have a real problem when it comes to these people.

I dont know if this has changed by now, but in the past, the majority of Arabs in the USA were Christians. And the belief that none of the Jews went to work on 9/11 is almost laughable if it werent to pathetic, childish and dangerous. I know a Jewish woman who worked at the WTC and survived 9/11 (fortunately she worked on a lower floor), and has had to get counseling for the post traumatic stress. And I was recently walking through the Jewish section of local cemetary and came across a large headstone with the Twin Towers engraved on it. Sure enough, the young man (early 20s) died on 9/11. The religious fanatics of the world are not just ignorant (of facts) they're actually STUPID (they even lack the capacity to understand basic logical thinking)!

That is a good idea that Arabs should not be ALLOWED to come to America or Europe as they have proven themselves to be mass murderers like the 9/11 attacks, hence unworthy criminal-citizens. Look at France, they have more mosques than Catholic churches over there. The Arabs pray 5 times a day and yet have no conscience whether it is to kill temselves as martyrs or kill others so they can get to lust asap with their 77 virgins!!!!!!

HAHAHA, yes, I think you are right, it is way too dangerous to go to Beruit now. About two years ago, I heard someone say that "Beruit is the Paris of the Mideast". I was surprised and researched it. It's true! The first picture I saw online of Beruit was of about 20 middle easterners sitting out in front of a Starbucks sipping coffee! They say it's a great trip, but I abandoned the idea when a Jewish friend told me that they wouldn't even let him in there because he is Jewish. Now THAT really shocked me. No tourist dollars for that!
