Democrat Barack Obama would narrowly defeat Republican John McCain if they were matched today in the presidential election, while McCain and Hillary Rodham Clinton are running about even, according to new general-election sentiment since the Super Tuesday contests.

Either way, its slim pickings. I don't care for any of them. I'm tired of moderate conservatives and apologists. They don't want our equality and I don't want them.

I think the country took a deep breath about a month ago and decided that they don't want the "Hill and Bill Show" in the White House for another four to eight years. It's funny, but maybe all their lies, obfuscations and slimy political deals have finally caught up to them. Look how they're turning Chelsea into a political whore. Personally, I think it's time to give Mr. Obama a chance at it. It IS time for a change.

Once again the USA shows how whimsical it is when it comes to elections: Is it really so that everybody who "thinks" they are young and good looking will vote for the candidate that looks most like them? Or is it so that everybody will vote for the person that shouts the word "change" the loudest, it does not seem to matter what is meant by the word as long as you say it loud with a low and sexy voice. And polls that say Obama has more chance to win this fall then McCain, what are they based on? Voters that stated they will vote for the candidate who flopflops easiest with basic policy choices? I hope the democrats come to their senses before the convention. For me politics has nothing to do with gender or color, nor age, for that matter, as long as the candidate is not demented. Hillary: stick with what you said all along: you know best what to do about the economy, healt care, climate, europe, the rest of the world. Obama can still get his chance in 8 years, when he had time to learn how to give substance to the word change.

Too bad Hillary has never "stuck with what (she's) said all along". She changes and obfuscates her positions on every single issue depending on what the polls have to say on any given day. She is far from being a leader. She is a poll-tested follower who was willing to send 3,200 young Americans to their deaths just to protect her presidential aspirations. As for BILL, he should be denied even a tourist pass to the White House, nevermind another four years on the inside. As for this country, I think they see the possibility for a new day in Senator Obama, and that's something we're all thirsty for. There are no guarantees in politics, but I think he would bring the country together.
