Mistress Fetches Druken Republican Congressman From Hoose Gow and Reveals Love Child

After admitting earlier today that he had an extramarital affair and fathered a child out of wedlock, Rep. Vito Fossella (R-N.Y.), who was nailed for drunk driving last week, was spotted today huddling with the House chaplain in the back of the chamber during floor debate.

Fossella, who is married and has three children with his wife, could be seen standing on the back rail of the chamber, on the Republican side near the center aisle, in deep conversation with Rev. Daniel Coughlin, the House chaplain. One can only assume what they were discussing...

In a statement today, Fossella went so far as to name the woman with whom he has had an affair for several years. Her name is Laura Fay, a retired Air Force Lt. Col. who, as Fossella now admits, is the mother of their 3-year-old daughter.

Fossella's "love child" was exposed in his drunken-driving charge because Fay is the person who fetched Fossella from an Alexandria, Va., police station after he was charged with driving while intoxicated in the wee hours of the morning last Thursday.

Well, I'd like to take a swipe at this Republican for his "moral" behavior. But, after the Elliot Spitzer debacle, I'm going to pass on this one. Let's just call it even and agree that politicians from all parties misbehave.

UPDATE: I just checked the Human Rights Campaign's Congressional scorecard. This human Sin-Bag had three straight ZERO ratings. So, he can oppose loving GLBT families while he wrecks his own home? What a piece of moral rubbish. Good thing this disgraceful hypocrite's undistinguished career is over.

Not one leading republican has called for his resignation. It was a different story when Spitzer was nabbed. The media had a field day as did the republican party. Fossella is nothing more than scum, a hypocrite and a bigot, typical of republican doublestandards. Fossella and his party are morally bankrupt.

Wayne, thank you. Its about time these right wing nutjobs are exposed for what they really are, but the problem is, neither Obama or Clinton have the guts or the courage to do it, let alone take on McCain. They need to clean up their act and go after them and move away from the center to where they should be, on the left, the backbone of the Democratic party. We only have sex months to go before the general election, Obama, Clinton and every democratic politician worth his or her salt need to grow a pair and take on McCain and his ilk once and for all. McCain by the way, the lover of wars, is anti-vet but claims he supports the troops. In a recent broadcast I heard on Air America earlier this week, it was said that no fewer than 120 soldiers are committing suicide. They receive absolutely no help from our government (McCain is against it) and some are even sent back for a second or third tour, only to return home and take their lives. Its a national disgrace and needs to be exposed. Wake up Obama and Clinton!! Do something, NOW!

The democratic party has very little in the way of a backbone.

The repubs do have a backbone, but it is twisted beyond recognition due to the bending caused by an axcute case of recto0cranial inversion.
