Fort Hill, SC Mayor Danny Funderburk said he forwarded a chain email suggesting Barack Obama is the antichrist because he was "just curious" if it was true:

"I was just curious if there was any validity to it," Funderburk said in a telephone interview. "I was trying to get documentation if there was any scripture to back it up."

Well, at least I give him credit for trying to verify his idiocy.

I went off on my brother for 'suggesting' this to me because our cousin (another great intellect) told him so. If this nonsense were true, you'd think the fundos would do all they could to help him get elected, as this (according to their crazed theology) would bring about the Rapture and the second coming of Christ, which they seem to be breathlessly anticipating. The thought of Palin, who believes all this bullshit, being 1 heartbeat away from having her finger on a nuclear arsenal is terrifying. They all seem to LOVE war. In the debate between her and Biden on Oct 2nd, I wish someone would ask her about her witch-hunting pastor and does she really believe all that crap.

I pray my spouse and I can emigrate. This country is ruled by maniacs. If McCain and Palin are elected, we are that much closer to nuclear Armageddon. They need to set that clock to one minute to mindnight if these bastards are elected.

The anti-christ is going to be a leader with a great following. To many Barack Obama fits some of the characteristics. I am not to predict who the anti-christ will be, but neither is anyone else. We are taught in the Bible that no one knows who he is or when the rapture will occur. All I know is that the world is beginning to show signs of the end times.
