Much of John McCain's stump speech is devoted to warning voters about the fiscal dangers that would accompany a Barack Obama presidency, but lately McCain has been picking on a lower-profile bogeyman to make his case: Openly gay congressman Barney Frank.
At this page, we love Barney!

What a surprise, the real Republikkkan party finally stands up! It has predictably fallen back to its old, soiled campaign tactics with just 6 days to go in the election. Yup, they've delivered up Barney Fag as the whipping boy for all the economic damage that they have done to f*ck up the country over the last eight years. Truly desperate, truly typical, and TRULY republican.

Chris, and of course, they blame Barney entirely for the freddie/fannie debacle but they don't blame McCain, Bush and Phil Gramm et al for the past eight years of fraud and corruption that supported deregulation upon deregulation that finally brought about the disaster on Wall Street and the banking industry. While we're at it and to digress somewhat, if McCain/Palin and rethuglicans in general are so anti socialist/communist....why did they allow China, a communist country and the biggest violator of human rights to finance and own much of our debt? Virtually everything you buy today is made in China thanks to the disastrous policies of Bush and his party. I just hope our worst nightmare doesn't come true on November 4, my stomach is churning. McCain is no maverick either, if he were, why didn't he run against Bush 8 years ago, or four years ago, why?

Aren't the republicans pathetic. The more desperate they become, the more they spin their tires in the mud. Instead of soiling their opponents, all they have succeeded in doing, is to make themselves more filthy than they already were. A blogger on huffpo said that his conservative friends have been becoming more and more hysterical in the past several weeks and more and more shrill and irrational in their arguments as to why he should vote for McCain. Watching them finally get back what they've been dishing out to us for the past 8 years is giving me immense Schadenfreude! "The mills of the gods grind slowly, but they grind exceedingly small". Robert, you ask, "...if McCain/Palin and rethuglicans in general are so anti socialist/communist....why did they allow China, a communist country and the biggest violator of human rights to finance and own much of our debt?"
The answer is because the Republicans are simply full of shit, that's why. They manipulate the hicks by bringing out the "patriotism" and "family values" horseshit to win elections, and once they're in, they ignore the hicks and govern like pigs at the trough. McCain saying "Obama pals around with terrorists" is ABSURD in light of the Bush family's relationship with the Bin Laden family.
Just like Gary says, however, weak minds become hysterical and unglued during election time; they fall for the political noise that smart people know is just meaningless election talk. Don't forget that in '92, they called Bill Clinton a socialist. Yes, the republicans are going out of their minds...I mean, after all, America might elect (gulp) a BLACK MAN! Oh the humanity!

Chris, you're right. I suppose we could also call the GOP of hate closet socialists since they pal around with the Chinese government, outsourcing American jobs to them, allowing them to dominate the import market, owning most of our debt. McCain and the Palinistas should be reminded of that, I'm surprised the Dems haven't done that already.
To digress and for some comic relief in this tortuous election campaign, check out the following.
A LETTER TO THE RED STATES AND THE GRAND OLD PARTY OF HATE:
Dear Red States:
If you manage to steal this election too we've decided we're leaving. We intend to form our own country, and we're taking the other Blue States with us. In case you aren't aware, that includes California, Hawaii, Oregon, Washington, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois and all the Northeast. We believe this split will be beneficial to the nation, and especially to the people of the new country of New California.
To sum up briefly: You get Texas, Oklahoma and all the slave states. We get stem cell research and the best beaches. We get the Statue of Liberty. You get Dollywood. We get Intel and Microsoft. You get WorldCom. We get Harvard. You get Ole' Miss. We get 85% of America's venture capital and entrepreneurs. You get Alabama.
We get two-thirds of the tax revenue, you get to make the red states pay their fair share.
Since our aggregate divorce rate is 22% lower than the Christian Coalition's, we get a bunch of happy families. You get a bunch of single moms.
Please be aware that Nuevo California will be pro-choice and anti-war, and we're going to want all our citizens back from Iraq at once. If you need people to fight, ask your evangelicals. They have kids they're apparently willing to send to their deaths for no purpose, and they don't care if you don't show pictures of their children's caskets coming home. We do wish you success in Iraq , and hope that the WMDs turn up, but we're not willing to spend our resources in Bush's Quagmire.
With the Blue States in hand, we will have firm control of 80% of the country's fresh water, more than 90% of the pineapple and lettuce, 92% of the nation's fresh fruit, 95% of America's quality wines, 90% of all cheese, 90% of the high tech industry, 95% of the corn and soybeans (thanks Iowa!), most of the U.S. low-sulfur coal, all living redwoods, sequoias and condors, all the Ivy and Seven Sister schools plus Stanford, Cal Tech and MIT.
With the Red States, on the other hand, you will have to cope with 88% of all obese Americans (and their projected health care costs), 92% of all U.S. mosquitoes, nearly 100% of the tornadoes, 90% of the hurricanes, 99% of all Southern Baptists, virtually 100% of all televangelists, Rush Limbaugh, Bob Jones University, Clemson and the University of Georgia.
We get Hollywood and Yosemite, thank you.
Additionally, 38% of those in the Red states believe Jonah was actually swallowed by a whale, 62% believe life is sacred unless we're discussing the war, the death penalty or gun laws, 44% say that evolution is only a theory, 53% that Saddam was involved in 9/11 and 61% of you crazy bastards believe you are people with higher morals then we lefties.
Finally, we're taking the good pot, too. You can have that dirty weed they grow in Mexico
