Great comments KipEsquire! It is the fundies who are being intolerant. What gives them the right to come into OUR neighborhoods and to harass us?! Had they done this to any other group, the response would have been, at the very least, a mini-riot.

I think the gays in the Castro should do what we Italians used to do to undesirables who came into our neighborhoods to cause trouble... get a bunch of baseball bats and run them out of town and make sure they KNOW to never come back, and if they DO come back, beat the living crap out of them. This is outrageous that these religious zealots would show up in our own communities with their hateful bullshit, and I for one am not interested in acting like a peaceful, limp-wristed little queer. What happened to "no more Mr. Nice Gay??"

Hi mail. I agree--we may have to escalate things...they're already saying that we are harassing at their churches, so let's go inside. It is about time we made it clear that the gay community is not going to put up with their BS.
Playing nice has never gotten us much of anywhere--playing nice and being honest got us a bunch of bigots voting away our rights. I do not weep for the fundies.
