Wayne Wayne Wayne: You were excellent. Any time that feeble minded monster starts yelling to get his point across, you know he knows he is wrong. I acknowledge you for remaining as calm as possible. Did you notice it happened when you turned the tables around on him the way he routinely does to others? The very moment one makes these people face their own bigotry, all common sense and intellectual approaches regarding the soundness of their views fall flat. You were great. Bravo Wayne. Bravo. Be careful, he is going to have to have you back to attempt his hand at diminishing you. It is just the way that pathetic creature O'reilly operates. The very strangest thing has happened to me. I have never turned on Fox Cable News Network ever since Obama became president and it is as if they have become a fringe group on the level of the Michigan Militia. Remember them? Ms. America and her stupid last attempt to back her ignorance up with the bible is no different than the rationale being used in Iraq for cementing the anuses of gay men. It is a crime against humanity. If she had said anything like that against jews or blacks, she would be waitressing in a diner off some freeway winking at truckers for a tip.

oh and before i foget. Oreillys last ditch attempt to silence you by saying same sex marriage between two people would lead to people marrying more than one person already is being practiced by sraight men all over the fucking planet including here. What an absolute idiot he is. It is dangerous for stupid people to have that much of an audience. That should be the discussion. lol

This whole ordeal has its bad and good points. Yes I'm glad the question was asked. Too bad Perez Hilton had to be involved. I believe he is an embarrassment to the gay community. He definitely doesn't represent me and many of us sane younger generation in the 20's crowd ~ gay and straight. Immature and ignorant for sure.
That said it got everyone talking about gay marriage again. So this is good. But, keep in mind Miss Cali's answer is much the same as Obama's opinion(and his answer during the campaign) right now. Hopefully that will change too...

Trevorhere: I, too, kind of get the impression that perezhilton is loud mouthed. He is capatalizing on the new "queer" identity. Having said that, there are so many different types of people of all orientations so i do not think he is being held up as a representative of gay people. He is just one person with an opinion. The problem is that many gay men and women are not as courageous as he and others who step out of a closet and declare the truth about themselves. I admire him tremendously for that. And more importantly, i do not feel gay people need to emulate the behavior of straight people at all in order to be valid. Look at this Oreilly buffoon? He is a disgrace and millions of straight and gay people dismiss his wanton ego and harsh confrontational bullying. Oreilly is pathetic and divisive.

Well as always I can't stand to watch that idiot and it's not like I would learn anything new by watching this clip anyway, so Wayne I hope you did well and got a nice amount of money for your appearance. Keep up the good work.

TrevorHere : I agree Perez Hilton is an embarrassment. Probably setting gay marriage way back just by annoying those who would otherwise vote for us. But remember, Miss California and Obama are still with a great crux of the public who still don't believe in gay marriage. Younger people generally do. It was a stupid question for Perez Hilton (ugh- that name) to ask, and cause turmoil, when things are going relatively good with the same-sex marriage issue. (I guess everybody would have preferred she lie about how she feels).

Joey7777: you miss the point about miss california. No one cares what she thinks who disagrees with her. The issue is that she is going all over saying she was denied the title because of that one answer and no one can be 100% postitive of that. Her ego is selfish and out of control. Someone should figuratively punch in the teeth and demand she address the truth about her fake tits.

ewe : That's true. She shouldn't try to paint it as a reason she lost the crown, either. (But of course all Miss America contestants are going to be publicity hounds and use whatever comes along).

Sorry, guys, it wasn't the awful answer to the Hilton question that lost her the crown! Had she had any good gay friends with fashion sense, they would have told her to lose those tacky fake diamond earrings. They competed with her enormous mouth. But the mouth won in the end, or did it?

mail: sure, Perez has courage, no doubt. He came out of the closet and started a celebrity blog. kool. I guess I'm not really big on someone "outing" gays. We will come out when we are ready. I'm not a "celeb"(like those he takes pleasure in outing), but I would have been pissed being outed(thought I was bi then) in college before I was ready. Heck, even now at 27 I don't go around announcing my orientation in biz connections unless and until the situation calls for it. All friends and personal connections know. obviously...but the process was on my time. Not someone ratting me out to family etc.
The exceptions of public outings are different of course if the person is claiming to be exgay or is in the closet yet harming gays with their work or causes. What Wayne has done with these guys is great. And now I'm getting off subject. But my point is that I find Perez Hilton to be of more harm than good to the gay community. That said I realize Perez has a role to play.
Oreilly? well he's a mouthpiece for the far right we know that.
ewe: Is she really any different from other contestants? They all say they would have won if... It was Perez Hilton who claimed she lost because of her answer.

The word Bigot seems to get thrown at anyone who disagrees with the homosexuals right now.. lets see what Websters defines it as: "a person obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices ; especially : one who regards or treats the members of a group (as a racial or ethnic group) with hatred and intolerance". I think that when "Carrie called Perez the B-word on her site" or said she actually meant the "C" word and everyone (including hollywood) launched out at him for expressing his "Opinion" as she asked. even though the majority of polls emails and calls to news agency's and Donald Trump (owner of Miss USA) were overwhelmingly in his favor.... sounds like BIGOTRY to me........ Ooppps my Bad I think I had the names Switched.. it was Perez OMG.. he's a Homosexual, he's not a Bigot He Can't be, can he?? OMG what is this world coming too.. next thing you know someone will want to invalidate our vote (Prop 8) and challenge it in court in California because they disagree.. but that would be Discrimination and Bigotry

So O'Reilly thinks if legalizing same-sex marriage leads to marrying more than one person is absolute nonsense and nothing more than right wing fear mongering. Islam allows polygamy, sorry about that O'Reilly, and that's straight marriage too. I don't hear him condemning that or any others on the right, nor do any of the mainstream religious cults such as the RC church, the protagnonist for upholding discrimination against us.
And to digress a bit, Rudolph Giuliani recently joined the anti-marriage equality bandwagon. Of all people, he's the last one to throw stones. First marriage ended in divorce, the a serious of mistresses then a second marriage. How come O'Reilly isn't bashing that and the rest of the rethuglican party. While I'm at it, how come the Vatican hasn't excommunicated Giuliani and other celebrity catholics who've divorced and remarried?
Wayne, you should have reminded O'Reilly of the sexual harrassment case brought against him several years ago. Because of the scandal, he was forced to settle out of court. O'Reilly too is a married man. Their hypocrisy is dazzling. Who are they to tell us we shouldn't have the basic civil right to marry. Aren't we taxypaying citizens who also fight and die in their wars? We shed our blood for the likes of these bigots yet they want to uphold discrimination?
I'm on the fence about Perez Hilton, I give him credit for his courage in asking that question. I don't care how uncomfortable it makes people feel, its long overdue that this fight for our equality is out in the open. I'm sick and tired of people telling us to shut up and be quiet. Let them walk in our shoes and then they might think differently.

Robert, O'reilly claiming that once you open marriage to gays you have to open it to polygamists because of equal protection is preposterous. The same "logic" would have applied to interracial marriage, that if you open marriage to that group you have to open it to polygamists as well. That scenario was false then and it is false now.
What the O'reillys of the world are doing with this argument is stating that they have no logical argument against gay marriage, they only oppose it because they oppose polygamy, which is once again no argument at all.

Talk: The woman put gay people down to a gay man. It is not up to Perez to be tolerant of intolerance. It is up to Ms. Thing to mind her own damn business if she cannot grasp the fact that she is taking for granted something she will so willingly deny others.

Priya....thanks. I also think its about O'Reilly's religious beliefs, in fact its at the core of all this anti same-sex marriage nonsense. The procreation crap doesn't cut it any more. Its NOT the primary reason for marrying and since when is obtaining a marriage license contingent on procreation, where is that written? What about straight couples who don't want to breed or can't. Are they too to be denied a license? O'Reilly and his ilk have lost the argument and they know it but will NEVER admit it. The problem with these demagogues is that they want it both ways, they don't like change and that's one of the reasons why they lost the election, heavily.
Its comforting to know that in recent polls, 80% of all young people in this country support our rights and would vote democrat. If O'Reilly and his gang want the republicans to regain power, they'd better start listening to Megan McCain, she and her age group will be the future of their party and if they resist that, then the GOP will become even more irrelevant. O'Reilly claims he's an independent, don't believe it. He's a closet republican.

Robert, you are correct about Oreilly. He is no independent. Every clip, interview, etc I've watched him in spills far right.
But, unfortunately not all democrats support gay marriage either. So, it's not all cut and dry for all of us young people. I'm 27, gay and consider myself indnpendent. Democrats have to earn my vote ~ they do not get my vote simply with a DFL behind their names. I did not vote for Franken, the DFL candidate in the highly dusputed race in my state.
We are more analytical and see how the older generations of both Republicans and Democrats have screwed up our country. Look at the mess we're in now. I don't buy into blaming only the Bush administration. So, politicans in general have a lot of work to do to continue to earn our votes.
I like Megan McCain. The media is giving her a lot of air time right now and that will go far for the Repub party. Any reform for them is positive. If old Repubs don't get on board with her thinking then they will be a lost party.

Trevor, I am a Green but only voted for Obama to get the previous regime out. You are right, there are many in the democratic party who are not for marriage equality, though far less than in the Grand Obstructionist Party of hate.
Right now in New York state, we must pull out all stops to defeat the three or four democrats in the mid-term elections who have vowed to vote with the republicans to defeat marriage equality legislation. We can't afford to have another Prop. H8 situation or for any other form of referendum to occur. If New York succeeds, it will send a loud message to other states.

O'Reilly is pretty good as far as putting gay activists on who present good arguments and good examples for the public. (I've already said I dislike Wayne Besen personally, as I do Signorile, but I'll admit they both present themselves well). And of course the great Tammy Bruce is a frequent guest. If O'Reilly was a total homophobe, there are truly embarrassing examples he could bring on the show (just starting with Larry Kramer..)

Not only does joey come to a blog of someone he dislikes he's been banned from this blog and chooses to force his way back in where he's not wanted. He's like a houseguest who shits on the rug and then is asked to leave. When the homeowners aren't around he breaks back in and shits on the rug again and again.
