I was on the O'Reilly Factor, where I will discussed Obama's upcoming Big Gay Speech at the Human Rights Campaign's dinner.
Obama has a history of rising to the occasion in big moments. I hope he realizes that such a moment is now and that expectations are very high for this speech. GLBT people are suffering discrimination throughout the land, and we hope he uses the power of his office to alleviate it.
When Bill OReilly implies that Obama should stay away from speaking or he will be viewed as picking and choosing favorites or as he might interpret for his slanted opinionated purposes say that Obama cannot spend his time speaking in front of all groups of people so should not start doing at all much less with a gay organization, kindly ask him if he would be so brazen to state that sentiment if he was speaking to those of the NAACP? When he says yes, i hope you tell him that Obama did do just that. Obama also spoke to the AMA. He spoke to muslims. He speaks to senior citizens!!! Yes the gay AGENDA is and always has been about equality and it does not seek the permission of Oreilly or anyone for that matter. Lastly i do hope when that skank of a loud mouth attempts his dismissiveness, that his attempt at dismissiveness is verbally confronted and turned back onto him. Perhaps you may want to take a small mirror with you and take it out of your pocket when he starts his predictable hate fest. We do not claim to want to have or want the same experiences as others but we do demand the same rights that are being denied us. I am sure you can tell i detest that creep of a worm and you are much bigger than i ever could be. I would spit in his face if it was legal.

ewe...I don't see demanding full equality to be an agenda. We're not asking for any special rights that straights don't have. That's the kind of thing the anti equality haters use against us, O'Reilly included, don't fall into that trap.

Your interview was outstanding. I less than five minutes you did more for our equality than I've seen from the last 3 or 4 years from the Human Rights Campaign.
And thank you very much for mentioning bi-national couples. We're going through hell because we cannot sponsor our foreign partners for immigration to the United States to live with us - a family unification benefit available to heterosexual Americans with foreign spouses or partners. We are forced to either live separately in two countries, traveling back and forth for short visits, leave the United States and settle in another country if we can find one, or give up our relationships.
Repealing DOMA soon would go a long way to help bi-national couples, but what we need most is to get Congress to pass our own bill introduced by Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY), The Uniting American Families Act (H.R. 1024, S. 424)

I agree with everything you say about Obama. He might as well be a Republican, he treats the left like the enemy. And he's such a two-faced liar, pretending he supports the public option for instance, and then working against it behind the scenes. If he does wake up and start acting like a real Democrat, I couldn't care less if he loses in 2012. What difference will it make, the country's going down the tubes and that centrist weasel isn't doing a thing to stop it.

How do you know a homophobic politician is screwing over the lgbt community?
He or she has been invited as keynote speaker for the HRC's fundraising organization. The HRC is a truly pitiful organization.

Obama is going to have to show me action and not just words. He talks the talk, but so far, he sure as hell doesn't walk the walk.
Good point, Ewe. If this concerned African Americans, O'Reilly would change his tune because the NAACP would not let him get away with racist crap. We should not let him walk all over us with his lies about LGBTQ people. We need to have some kind of serious group to call O'Reilly and his ilk to task every time they start their BS. I think Wayne's being on O'Reilly is an excellent start.
